The Village of Lakewood is located at the southern end of Chautauqua Lake and offers the best of both worlds. The tranquil charm of the lake-side village, with a public beach, park, playground, lighted tennis courts, boat launch and the hustle and bustle of our shopping and business area.

Located on 5 acres of clean, daily groomed beaches, Sunset Bay USA is a shining example of the hidden treasures located along Lake Erie's shores. A video and redemption game arcade, an ice cream stand, as well as a clothing and beach boutique are provided for your enjoyment and shopping pleasure.

Wendt Beach Park is a 170-acre lake front estate and was used as the Henry W. Wendt, Jr. family's summer residence, which they later renamed the "The Ridgewood." The grounds present a panorama of cropped lawns and colorful flower gardens with occasional benches, and a picket fence. Structures reflect an earlier era of affluence: a log cabin, once a playhouse and a guest house; a caretaker's cottage; a garage with chauffeur's quarters; stables; now public restrooms; the pump house, where water brought in from Lake Erie was stored in a large tank and pumped through pipes to outside spigots for watering the gardens. The interior of the main house is a remembrance of beautiful hardwood floors, a spiral staircase, and railings of dark wood, window seats and bay windows, which many of which overlook the lake and beach areas.

Woodlawn Beach State Park is located on the eastern-most terminus of Lake Erie. Within the Buffalo metropolitan area, the park offers a beautiful, one-mile long natural sand beach with lovely panoramic views and spectacular sunsets on the lake. Woodlawn Beach supports a diversity of wildlife habitats including one of the finest freshwater sand dune areas remaining on Lake Erie. Recreational opportunities are plentiful and include picnicking, beach volleyball, nature trails and a playground on the beach. A new nature center/bathhouse complex, with exhibits that highlight the park's natural history, is connected to the beach by an interpretive nature boardwalk through wooded wetlands.
